BP12_Final Video

BP12_Final Video
It is now the end of my first Full Sail University online class. I chose to complete the Action Research Pitch final video option for the final video project. This video was created by using iMovie. The video is intended to bring to the attention of the viewer the issue of blood quantum both Native American and Canadian First Nation peoples have issue with today. The blood quantum is the certain percentage of blood that defines who Indian people are to be recognized within a tribe. Once study participants are introduced to what blood quantum is and the history, they will be asked to state how they feel about it and what they think their tribe should do about it. Initially, I had attempted to find Native Americans to put them on film talking about the blood quantum issue. However, my one camera with a video recorder in it, was broken. Luckily, there was youtube, a public video site, where I found Native Americans talking about blood quantum issues. There is much on the subject of blood quantum and I found it easy to be able to select appropriate video clips to state certain points of view. Lastly, I had to find the right music for it. Yet, I couldn't find royalty free music that matched the feel of the video that I created. So instead, I went into GarageBand. After taking time to review the music loops found within the program, I found a music loop that was appropriate. The video was easily downloaded and imbedded into my blog.
